Encountering Cultural Variety in Jewish Storytelling

Join us for an exploration of some of the many cultures of Jewish storytelling, as we consider the underlying imperatives that drive many Jewish stories. Drawing from Jewish traditions found in the Balkans, Afghanistan, Morocco, and Ukraine, participants will discover the rich differences and similarities that emerge from a people who have traveled around the world, carrying and adapting their culture in their travels. Ample opportunities for discussion and dialogue will be provided.
