Transformational Storytelling is the art of telling the right story in the right way, with an open heart, to heal the wounds within and between us.
At the core of all transformation is healing, and storytelling is the most powerful way to invite and nurture that healing. As I continue this work, my own healing and transformation – often challenging, yet profoundly rewarding – also continue. I am deeply grateful for the spiritual gifts I have encountered along the way.
I invite you to join me at Healing Monsters, a weekly Substack column exploring the intersection of ancient folklore and modern healing. It is a space for those who believe that stories are the most powerful medicine we have for facing the dark.
Drawing inspiration from the rich traditions I’ve studied – especially those of the First Peoples of Turtle Island, as well as Roma, Hungarian, and North African cultures – I am delving further into healing and transformation, embracing both individualized practices and community-building efforts.
You can take my self-paced tutorial on The Story Orchard and learn how to explore the deeper meanings in stories. Learn more here!
If you’re interested in one-on-one spiritual direction, grief and loss work (including end-of-life), or coaching for spiritual storytelling, I invite you to schedule a complimentary exploratory session. You can also acquire my book, Stories of the Heart, co-authored with Rebecca Lemaire.
How did I get here? For over two decades, I have been deeply engaged in transformational storytelling – as a student, practitioner, teacher, and mentor. My school for training spiritual storytellers evolved from Reb Maggid Yitzhak Buxbaum zt”l’s Maggid Spirit Training Program into a program for spiritual storytellers worldwide, accredited by the National Storytelling Association.
As always, I do not advocate for any specific tradition or ideology. My core belief is that appreciating the richness of our differences and the joy of our commonality is key to living a full life.
I look forward to weaving our journeys together.
