"Journey into Dying and Living" is a four-part series of "lunch and learns" led by Jim Brulé, a death doula and spiritual storyteller who volunteers at Francis House. During the lunch and learn, Mr. Brulé will tell a story about Grief and Loss and then lead us through a discussion of the deeper questions and understandings that the story evokes in us.
In this series, we will examine the Russian/Finnish story, "The Wonderful Birch." This is a story with challenging variations on the Cinderella classic, including shapeshifting, murder, and wise women.
Stories have the power to entertain, inform, enlighten, and motivate. They also have the power to heal, and this will be the focus of this hour-long Zoom workshop with Maggid Jim Brulé.
