Personal Digital Storytelling is a technique for creating powerful personal stories in a digital format. Stories can be saved locally, shared via social media, or distributed via whatever channel the creator wishes.
This online class meets for six consecutive weeks for 90m – 2h per class. The goal is to produce a powerful rendering of a personal story that is told in 3 – 4 minutes. The video is built from a student-crafted narration and includes personal images and some audio as needed.
The basic requirements are simply a computer (laptop or desktop running Windows, Mac or Chrome) with a webcam. Optionally, a scanner for capturing personal photos and/or a microphone for recording audio can be beneficial, but a modern smartphone will typically be adequate.
The fee for the course is $200, refundable up through the second class if you aren’t completely satisfied. Class size is limited to promote the ideal learning experience, so register soon! Once class limits are met, a waiting list will be maintained.
