Imagine, Illuminate & Illustrate – Digital Storytelling
June 7 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm EDT
With an emphasis on illustrating powerfully personal stories, this class will translate memoirs into beautiful short videos for a one-of-a-kind showcase. Jim Brulé will lead students in producing 5-minute digital versions of personal stories—combining narration, sound & images. Through small group work and one-on-one feedback, students will leave class with a diverse and fun toolkit of voice work, storyboarding, and digital storytelling! Maximum enrollment: 10
Note: Students must have access to either a Mac or PC laptop or desktop computer. Tablets or phones are discouraged for most classwork. Also, a microphone on the computer is highly desirable, although students can record their voice narration onto their smartphone for transfer. Additionally, the instructor will provide an in-class tutorial on WeVideo, the program used to create the final projects.
